The X-rated scene was being watched on a screen by a man in headphones behind presenter Sophie Raworth

BBC News

BBC viewers got more than they bargained for when tuning into the News at Ten last night.

As presenter Sophie Raworth was reading the headlines, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a topless woman in the background.

The steamy s.e.x scene was on a computer screen being watched by a man in headphones during the live broadcast.

A woman removed her top and then a black bra just as Raworth, 49, moved on to news of the England cricket team’s success.

Lyndsey Robinson from Barnsley, Yorks., posted a clip of the b00b on Facebook.

“Did anyone else notice news last night on BBC???” she wrote.

“Thought I was seeing things…but just re-wached On iplayer…nope I definitely saw what I thought I had [crying face emojis].”

A TV source told The Sun the incident had “gone down like a lead balloon”.

“It is totally unprofessional. It beggars belief a s.e.x scene should be played live on air,” the source added.

The BBC said last night it was investigating.

It comes just days after a cheeky music-lover flashed her bre@sts during a BBC report from a folk festival.

The woman was in the background as BBC Spotlight interviewed a performer at the 63rd Folk Week in Devon.

She subtly appeared to pull her top to one side, exposing a b00b live on BBC Spotlight.
