Speaking to a local publication, the singer revealed why she didn’t give up on auditioning.

“I believe I can sing and the only way to showcase my talent to the world is to enter Idols, because at that time I didn’t have any other option. I’ve tried so many but I guess it wasn’t my time. I told myself I’ll never give up until I get what’s meant to be mine. Til I got the opportunity,” she said.

MacDonald further said that her son has been her motivation.

“My son [Jaden]. He is the first reason I always grind. My background, where I come from. It’s something I want to change. I want to be a mom, who’s going to be there for him. Become independent and have what I could call mine and also take care of my family.”

Princess is confident on making it to the top two.

“I am so nervous… Especially having to compete with two guys with a strong fan base but I believe I’ll make it to the top two.”
