Ayanda Ncwane couldn’t hold back her tears, but they were soon wiped away when her husband’s song scooped the Song of the Decade award at the Crown Gospel Music Awards held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on Sunday night.
Ayanda said Sfiso used to tell her he would like people to remember him for his great work. For a moment, it felt as if the late Sfiso Ncwane had risen from the dead.
His wife wept uncontrollably as she watched the audience dance to the late singer’s Kulungile Baba.
“I witnessed that. I’m truly humbled by this award. His ministry is alive. I really appreciate the love and support,” said Ayanda.
