Shona And Connie Ferguson Celebrate 19th Wedding Anniversary

Today marks nineteen years of Shona and Connie Ferguson wedding anniversary. The power couple got hitched in 2001 and they have a beautiful daughter together, Alicia, and raised Connie’s eldest daughter Lesedi, from her first marriage together. The couple renewed their vows in a star-studded ceremony in 2011 and they have since been going strong.

As they celebrate their anniversary today, Connie’s sister Atosie, took to her Instagram page to wish them a happy anniversary and paid tribute to them.

“Happy Anniversary to two of the most important people in my life. The people who define what happiness in a marriage, friendship, the partnership should be like. I’ve seen you from your dating stages, and I must truly say your journey together has been nothing but amazing. You guys are a great role model to me and the girls, Roro inclusive. Have a lovely lovely day as you celebrate 19years of unconditional love together and beautiful marriage. I love you parentals very very much @ferguson_films @connie_ferguson God continues blessing you, my angels, on earth,” she wrote.

In 2011 they launched their production company, Furgeson Films. The company has produced multiple hit series for Mzansi Magic, which includes Rockville, iGazi, The Gift, The Throne, The Herd, The Queen, and The Imposter. The couple often acts in their own productions, for example, Connie played the role of Mavis Mabaso on Rockville and is the female lead in The Queen.

The couple recently announced that they have inked a partnership with the international streaming service Netflix, on their upcoming series, Kings of Joburg and they are elated about reaching a new milestone in their careers.

The 6-part series delves into the legacy building, fragmented family structures, treacherous brotherhoods, and the effects of crime and African masculinities on families and society at large. Loyalties will be tested, with long-held secrets threatening to shatter the fragile facade.

Connie Ferguson said with this series they are taking Mzansi and Africa to the world.

“We’re living in exciting times where the world is becoming smaller and smaller. What used to be out of reach is now a stone throw away! With Kings Of Joburg, we are taking South Africa and Africa to the world and bringing the world to South Africa. It’s the United States Of The World show, bringing together talent from America and the continent! It was an honor to work with Netflix to bring to life this passion project we are truly proud of, ” she explained. Happy anniversary to the couple.
