942 new cases have been recorded in South Africa. The majority of infections are from the Western Cape, with 220.

Gauteng follows with 172, while KwaZulu-Natal reported 142. A further 37 people lost their lives to the Coronavirus.

Over 196,000 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. It brings the total number of jabs given, to 19.6-million.
