Severe weather warning in parts of SA

South African Weather Service says Central and Eastern parts of the country should brace for severe weather and thunderstorms. This follows alerts of disruptive rain that will lead to flooding and strong winds across the country.

The latest warning comes just days after heavy rains resulted in the death of eight people and destroyed several homes in the province.

The South African Weather Service’s Lehlhonolo Thobela said, “we have severe weather for thunderstorms that is expected in the Central and Eastern parts of the country which would include Gauteng, Eastern part of the Free State province, Northern Province as a whole, southern western parts of Limpopo.
