Popular South African reality TV star, DJ, and sangoma Gogo Skhotheni has opened about her recent cosmetic procedure which cost her R230 000.
The former Izangoma Zodumo reality TV star, who is also a podcaster recently went under the knife.
Speaking to The Citizen, Gogo Skhotheni revealed that she jetted off to Turkey a few days ago to get a tummy tuck.
The Cleveland Clinic describes a tummy tuck (medically called an abdominoplasty) as a procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen. It smooths and flattens the stomach and also tightens the muscles.
According to the The Citizen, Gogo Skhotheni cleared reports she had gotten a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift).
“It’s not BBL that I did. I did a tummy tuck, and I had to fill certain parts of my body like hip dips.”
Gogo Skhotheni further explained that she decided to go under the knife to get her body back.
“I wanted the body I had before having kids and I couldn’t get it, no matter how hard I tried. I did lose some weight from eating healthily and the slimming tea that I sold, but I was not satisfied still.
“Now I wanted to shape my body the way I wanted and in a way that would make me happy,” she added.
Additionally, Gogo Skhotheni shared her before and after pictures on Instagram.

Earlier this year, Gogo Skhotheni revealed that she had given her life to God, but will still be practising as a sangoma.
According to TshisaLIVE, the DJ explained that she decided to reclaim her journey with God after using her spiritual gift to practice dark magic. She said at times, she would give her clients isichitho – muthi to drive couples apart.
“This journey of ubungoma, you end up doing witchcraft and other things … so I think it’s one of the darkest journeys I’ve been on as a healer myself. I had to differentiate between being a healer and being a witch — being a healer is what I chose, and it goes along with God. I am a sangoma who believes in God and puts God in everything I do. I love God, and he loves me, too.
“I’ve been on a very dark journey with myself, questioning a lot of things that were happening, especially with my son’s condition, my son being sick. My relationship with my husband was tempted a lot. We nearly filed for divorce, but God carried us through it. It hasn’t been easy.
“I’ve given my life to God before, but obviously, as a child of God there are certain things which I shouldn’t have done, but I did. So, I eventually had to rebuild my relationship with God because I saw his mercy upon my life. I’m not going to stop being a healer,” she explained.
