At 00H56 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting on Victoria Street in Pietermaritzburg.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had sustained a gunshot wound to his head.

The man was assessed on scene by Paramedics and found to have no signs of life and sadly declared deceased on the scene.

Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the SAPS.

At 23H21 Thursday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision on the N3 Durban bound in the vacinity of Farningham Ridge Pinetown.

Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi, light motor vehicles and a truck were involved in a collision. Medics assessed the scene and found that three adult males and an adult female had sustained moderate injuries. Read more
