Sonia Mbele allegedly missed court to recover from BBL – Video of her dancing has Mzansi talking
Well-known South African actress and businesswoman Sonia Mbele has left fans with many questions following a video of her dancing with a hubby bubbly close by.
But it is not her dance moves or the hubby that has caused a frenzy, X users were more concerned about her backside which appeared to be bigger than usual, leading fans to believe that she has joined the BBL gang.
A BBL, or Brazilian Butt Lift, is a cosmetic surgery where a doctor transfers fat from one or more parts of the patient’s body to their buttocks.
Social media users accused her of lying to the court about being sick a few weeks ago.
“Wait Sisi, @TheeSonia, you said you sick but it looks like you were recovering from a BBL??? 🤣 yaz nizoboshwa [you guys will get arrested],” said one X user.
“Sonia Mbele new BBL looks out of proportion,” another commented.
While another replied: “So how on earth did she manage to do a BBL with chronic anaemia but is too sick to make it to court?”

In September and again earlier this month, Sonia failed to appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court citing I’ll-heath as the cause.
The former Diep City actress and her two co-accused Yolisa Gqunta and Rebone Sesing for contravening the Tax Administration Act through their company Real Housewives of South Africa.
“The directors in relation to their company, Real Housewives of South Africa are facing 42 counts of not filling company income tax from 2019 to 2022, not filing their Value Added Tax (VAT) returns from 2020 to 2022 and also not filing their Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) from 2020 until 2022,” read the court paoers
Sonia eventually appeared on 20 October, where the prosecutor Kamohelo Selepe said all charges against the three of them were withdrawn.
According to IOL, the withdrawal of the charges were as a result of Sonia signing an admission of guilt and paying the applicable fee of R41 000.
Reads the admission of guilt statement: “I, ‘The Real Housewives of South Africa(Pty) with Reg No: 2017/413908/07, hereby admit guilt to the charges specified in Counts 1 to 41, as mentioned in the attached charge sheet, and tender the admission of guilt fine referred to in the charge sheet.”
