Joy is in the air as well-known South African Amapiano sensation Lady Du prepares for her debut performance in Qatar.
The singer from Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, whose real name is Duduzile Ngwenya, can’t wait to show her talent at The Orbit Club Doha on Sunday, 21 July.
“I will be leaving on Saturday and returning later in the week. I’m thrilled about this gig; it has always been my dream to tour there,” Lady Du shared with the publication.
She also plans to extend her trip to Dubai to further promote her music.
“This is the perfect time as I’ve worked tirelessly for these opportunities,” she said.
At 33, Lady Du views this event as a milestone, and a way to a fulfil dream and connect with her international fans for the first time.
Known for hits such as Dakiwe and Catalia, she promises to deliver a memorable performance, showcasing her best work.
In addition to her music career, Lady Du has ventured into business to support her musical goals.
“I started these businesses knowing they would bolster my music career in the future. It was a strategic move to generate additional funds for my tours,” she said.
This month, Lady Du also launched her latest book, Fame or Business, aimed at educating young people about the music industry.
“The book provides essential information for aspiring artists,” she said.
