A triple murder in central Johannesburg has sent shockwaves through the city, with police launching an urgent investigation into the deadly shooting that unfolded at a local restaurant on Monday.
According to South African Police Service spokesperson Noxolo Kweza, three men between the ages of 30 and 45 were gunned down by unidentified assailants. The attackers, believed to be two individuals, reportedly concealed their identities with masks during the incident.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find all three victims fatally wounded. They were declared dead on site, while the suspects fled and remain at large.
Gauteng’s provincial police commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni, has strongly condemned the killings, describing them as a brutal and senseless act of violence. He assured the public that investigators are committed to pursuing every lead to bring those responsible to justice.
