The suspect wanted for the murder of seven people in Kagiso, on Gauteng’s West rand remains at large. The gunman entered a home in Kagiso on Saturday night and shot the owner, his girlfriend, a neighbour, and others who were in the vicinity.

Five other people were wounded when the gunman went on a shooting spree as a wedding was taking place on the street. One of the injured residents has since been discharged from hospital.

Community members from Kagiso told the SABC News that shootings were a common occurrence there. Police say their investigations continue. They are hopeful that an arrest will be secured soon. The motive for the mass murder has not yet been established.
