The High Court in Pretoria will on Wednesday resume with the trial of four men charged with murdering North West businessman Wandile Bozwana in October 2015.

Last week, the defence requested a postponement for more time to arrange for cellphone forensic evidence and consultation with their clients.

The defence argued that the MTN maps locating the suspects’ whereabouts at the time of the murder are crucial for the trial.

Sipho Hudla, Robert Mutapa, Bonginkosi Khumalo and Mamelodi businessman Vusi “Khekhe” Mathibela are also facing a charge of attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Bozwana’s colleague Mpho Baloyi escaped after being shot several times when the car she was travelling in with Bozwana was shot at by heavily armed assassins at Garsfontein, east of Pretoria, in October 2015. All accused are remanded in custody.
