Independent Police Investigative Directorate probes shooting of hotel guest

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating a shooting at a lodge in Muldersdrift, Gauteng.

In a video on social media, police and a man are seen in what seems to be a verbal altercation.

Seconds later, the man pulls a firearm on a police officer. A shot is fired.

It’s alleged that lodge staff and guest were arguing and the police were called in. The man is now in hospital under police guard.
