3 dead, 2 rescued from Implats mine shaft in Rustenburg

Three miners

Three miners have died and two have been rescued from an Implats mine shaft in Rustenburg
The miners became trapped on Sunday after a mudslide at the number six shaft.

Rescue teams reached the miners on Monday afternoon.
Implats says families of the deceased have been notified and are receiving support.

It says operations at the number six shaft remain suspended.
