A large part of Johannesburg South is without electricity on Friday.
The outage has apparently been caused by lines tripping at the Prospect Substation.
The affected areas include Ormonde, Booysens, Ridgeway, Winchester Hills, and Turffontein.
There is currently no estimated time of repair.
