Scott Crossley attempted murder trial resumes on Monday

The attempted murder and malicious damage to property trial of controversial farm manager Mark Scott-Crossely has been set to resume in the Naphuno magistrate’s court in Lenyenye outside Tzaneen in Limpopo on Monday.

He allegedly knocked down a farmworker, Silence Mabunda and broke his cell phone in a suspected racial altercation in Hoedspruit in 2016.

Scott- Crossely has pleaded not guilty. His trial started last year December. He was arrested in 2017 after evading trial for a month.

He is not new in controversy, in 2005, the Phalaborwa Circuit court found him guilty of throwing his employee Nelson Chisane into a lion enclosure.

However, the Supreme court of Appeal set aside his murder conviction. It then gave him five years imprisonment. He was released on parole in August 2008.
