KZN Education MEC to visit Dassenhoek High School following robbery

KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Education MEC, Kwazi Mshengu, will visit the Dassenhoek High School in Pinetown on Thursday after robbers who broke onto the school premises on Wednesday stabbed four learners.

The department says in a statement that the robbers were armed with a gun and knives when they demanded valuables from teachers and learners.

It is also alleged that the learners stood up against the robbers when they were stabbed. The injured learners have been taken to hospital. One suspect has been arrested.
